Cellist Christian-Pierre La Marca regularly causes surprises: with hybrid programs like his last album "Wonderful World", where he mixes genres and ventures into musical frontiers. The title and composers of his new album may seem "classical," but his recording is actually rooted in eighteenth-century Vienna, once again expanding horizons. "I wanted to open up new ways of listening to Haydn's concertos with this program," he explains.

Christian-Pierre La Marca's incisive cello playing fits perfectly in the interplay with "Le Concert De La Loge" and its director Julien Chauvin. Here he combines as soloist Haydn's "Concerto No. 1" and "Concerto No. 2" with Mozart's fragmentary "Sinfonia Concertante" K320e Anh 104, together with violist Adrien La Marca and violinist Julien Chauvin or with Philippe Jaroussky in an excerpt from Nicola Porpora's opera "Gli orti esperidi".
