opis
In the case of a recording of Anton Bruckner's First Symphony, it is not a question of choosing a "better" or "final" version, for both versions are of great artistic value in their own way. The Linz version of the first presents an absolutely finished Bruckner symphony, full of elementary power and storming forward agility. Although Bruckner's orchestra is no larger than that of the early Romantics, it produces sounds that are completely new. The orchestra Musica Saeculorum under Philip von Steinaecker not only uses historical instruments for recording with FRA BERNARDO, but also takes into account the original instrumentation of the premiere.
