The Bach family is probably the most musical one in the history of Western music. Next to Johann Sebastian Bach, there were many outstanding musicians and composers in the family. The present CD is a varied anthology of flute music by Johann Sebastian and his four composing sons. In each piece many typical compositional characteristics (and character traits) of the respective Bach member appear. Beniamino Paganini (b.1994) is a passionate traverso player, harpsichordist and artistic director of Musica Gloria founded by him and oboe player Nele Vertommen. Paganini studied traverso with Barthold Kuijken, Frank Theuns and Jan De Winne. The Belgian music press has named him Young Musician of the Year 2020.
