Marta Almajano and Michel Kiener present a delicate programme of 19th century Spanish music. The composers are clearly under the influence of masters such as Chopin or Weber, but intuitions from the Spanish tradition can also be found in these works. Zaragoza-born soprano Marta Almajano, after completing her training (in Barcelona with Josep Benet, among others), has quickly made a name for herself in the world's musical centres, both in places where early music is cultivated and at important venues such as the Palau de Música in Barcelona, the Opéra Comique in Paris, the Tonhalle in Zurich and the Musikvereinssaal in Vienna
