Works by W. A. Mozart on a period fortepiano by Anton Walter (around 1790) under the fingers of Paul Badura-Skoda, one of the pioneers of 'historically informed performance practice' - this constellation guarantees excitement and at the same time allows a glimpse of the sound worlds that must have presented themselves to the listeners of Mozart's works at his time. The third and concluding part of the current Mozart series opens with the splendour of the Variations KV 265, in which Mozart plays with the simple melody of the well-known French children's song 'Ah vous dirai-je, Maman' in twelve artful and sometimes dizzily virtuoso variations. In addition, Badura-Skoda interprets the Sonata in F major KV 533 with the Rondo KV 494 adapted subsequently into the third movement and the unusually complexly composed Rondos in D major KV 485 and A minor KV 511. A humorous conclusion is formed by the well-known Rondo 'Alla Turca', played on a fortepiano by Georg Hasska with an integrated Janissary's pedal.
